VRIES AVOCATS was founded in 2009 by Geoffroy de Vries who previously worked for the law firms Gide Loyrette Nouel, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Granrut Avocats.
Our objective is to advise our clients (companies, managers and investors) in their legal and financial transactions. We deliver high quality work with the aim of ensuring excellent service and secured transactions, while remaining flexible, reactive and dedicated to our clients.

Geoffroy de Vries began his career in January 2000 with the law firm, Gide Loyrette Nouel, where he was involved in securities transactions (IPOs, tender offers, securities issuance) and acquisitions of non listed companies.
In January 2003, he joined the British law firm, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he specialized in Mergers & Acquisitions for international clients (mainly from UK and USA).
In March 2005, he joined the law firm founded by the former President of the Paris Bar, Bernard du Granrut, where he helped to develop the firm’s corporate activity and specialised in equity transactions (Investment Capital, LBOs, Venture Loan) and Mergers & Acquisitions. He also acquired experience in litigation.
In February 2009, he set up his own law firm, VRIES AVOCATS.
Geoffroy de Vries is an active member of the European think-tank Centre d'Etude et de Prospective Stratégique and of ENSAE Business Angels & Entrepreneurs.
